Questions About Our Forest Trails?
Everything you need to know about walking with us through Latvia's woodlands and Tērvete Park
Absolutely. We design all our routes specifically for people getting back into regular activity. Our guides work at a comfortable pace (typically 2-3 km per walk), with plenty of rest stops built in. You set the tempo, and we adjust as needed.
Tērvete Park tours combine gentle walking with storytelling about Latvian folklore and the park's 150-year history. The paths are well-maintained and flatter. Our woodland walks go deeper into natural pine forests where we explore local ecology and bird life. Both are accessible, but they offer different experiences.
We keep groups between 6-12 people. This size means you get personal attention from your guide while still enjoying the social aspect of walking with others who share your interests.
We recommend comfortable walking shoes with good grip (forest paths can be uneven), layers you can adjust, and a water bottle. Weather matters in Latvia—check our packing guide for specifics. We provide walking poles if you'd like them, and all our guides carry first aid kits.
Yes, we offer winter walks from December through February. Pine woodland paths actually become easier to navigate when snow-packed. We adjust pace, take extra rest breaks, and provide information on proper footwear. Winter brings its own beauty—fewer people, crisp air, and a different perspective on the forest.
No pressure at all. We always have rest points marked, and your guide can arrange transport back if needed. There's no judgment here—many of our regular walkers listen to their bodies and take breaks. We're focused on your wellbeing, not completing a route.
